UK Export Packing Project - Singapore
AW Baxter packaging were asked to undertake the manufacture and packing of 96 fully boarded, lined wooden cases for a complete on deck winching project destined for Singapore. Although Baxters did not handle the freight on this project the timescale was pressurised due to the must catch vessel being achieved.

Due to the timescale presented to the packing team all cases were manufactured from suppliers GA drawings and our integrated CAD software enabled the cases to be designed without physically viewing the cargo. All 96 cases were manufactured from our facility and packing was split due the pressurised timing between our onsite team and in house packing experts. All 96 cases were vacuum barrier foil sealed and cases fitted with humidity indicators and viewing window. Although the project was ex works for our client we assisted the nominated forwarder with securing/lashing and loading the cases onto 3 x 40'Flat Racks and 18 x 40'HC containers. Mobile yard cranes and versa forklifts were used to assist with the lifting of the larger cases to which some weighed 33 Tonnes.
